Nail
Surf Blanks
Have you ever wanted a rod that was designed to cast where
others only talk about casting too? If so, the Nail is the
rod for you. A no compromises approach to distance casting
has been taken with this rod, and stiffness of the component has
been maximized. Initially, born on the Piers of North
Carolina, where the fisherman are affectionately called "Plankers",
the rod blank name "Nail" seemed appropriate. The name
matches its designed use and the rods response. It is as
stiff and durable as a Nail! Due to the action of the rod
and the stiffness designed into it from the ground up, this rod
is not for the faint of heart.
Butt can
be used at delivered 4 foot length or cut down as far as 2.5
feet and keep 28" reel seat position.
22 mm
Parallel Butt Section.
Integral
Ferrule design in the butt section.
Ferrule
wrap will be required as this feature was not carried over from
other designs.
Utilizes
#13 Tip with "Solid Tip Technology" to provide the utmost in
feel.
Component
mass TBD (Pending final statistical measurement).
Strength
to weight ratio is exceptional. Color:
Flat Black.
Modulus of
elasticity is twice that of Graphite, dramatically increasing
the response of the rod.
